Marcel calls it Pesecká Leánka. The Hungarians know it as Királyleányka. Internationally it's Feteasca Regală. All three names evoke the same image: a young maiden, a princess. Whatever you call it, it's a grape that rewards patience — harmonious, expressive, and with a rare ability to show its terroir. Marcel's first bottling comes from young vines planted in 2022 on the Stredné Staré Levice site, hand-harvested in September, macerated overnight for texture and depth, then aged in stainless steel before bottling under natural cork. 300 bottles made.
The travertine subsoil does the rest.
Tasting Notes
Aroma: white blossom, stone fruit, light citrus, subtle herbal note
Palate: full, textured, vibrant acidity
Texture: round, well-balanced, with a fine mineral grip
Finish: long, distinctly mineral, and dry
