Fruity, concentrated Beaujolais Nouveau with depth, texture and a generous, ripe core.

Cosima Bassouls makes her Nouveau with more weight on purpose. She uses semi-carbonic maceration because she finds full carbonic doesn’t give the wine enough texture. The 2026 vintage added to it: a very dry year meant less juice and more concentration in every bottle. The labels at Château des Vergers are drawn by Mathilde Polidori and always feature Cosima’s family. This year it’s her son, Zadig.
There’s a limited allocation, once a year. When it’s gone, it’s gone until next November.
Aroma: ripe dark cherry, blackberry, a hint of spice
Palate: concentrated fruit, round and juicy
Texture: fuller, with a soft grip
